A model from France notably appeared in John Galliano's 'Everybody is Beautiful' Spring 2006 pret-a-porter show and
subsequent French Vogue editorial of the collection, wearing what turned out to be Galliano's best-selling dress of the

There are no modeling agencies in India who specialize in plus size modeling, but there are plus size models and film
actresses in India who are famous. As they start to put some extra pounds are thrown out from Indian film industries because
plus size women are not catered in Indian Hindi film industry (Bollywood) according to the present trend. But contributions of these plus size models are
still remembered. Some of these plus size models/actresses are still working in Bollywood.
Shilpa Shirodkar
She was born on 20 November 1974 is an Indian actress and plus-size model who enjoyed a period of popularity in the 1990s.
She is the younger sister of actress Namrata Shirodkar. She is the grand-daughter of famous Marathi actress Meenakshi
Shirodkar, who starred in Marathi film Brahmachari (1930s), and was the first actress to wear a swimsuit and gambol in a
pool, albeit to depict Lord Krishna bathing in the Holy river Yamuna with his gopis. She made her film debut with the 1989
film Bhrashtachar. She has appeared in successful films such as Kishen Kanhaiya (1990), Hum (1991), Aankhen (1993) and the
critically acclaimed Mrityudand (1997). She quit acting after her marriage like her sister Namrata. Her last film

a model, and has been crowned Miss India in 1993. Namrata finished amongst the top six at Miss Universe in 1993. She was
